Do you know which year the beer can was invented? Or how many pints are in a Firkin?
Want to have a guess at the answers and get to taste five locally brewed beers whilst pitching your wits against our quiz master Matt Walden?

Held in the quaint club house of West Beckenham Bowls Club, this evening is going to be a fun way to support your local clubs, businesses and the festival.
Tickets are £15. per person which includes 5 locally brewed taster beers and a ploughman’s pie & pickles plate per table, (vegan options available– some of which will be from the Penge Food Hub team https://thegreatbritishfoodhub.com/our-producer/view/penge-food-hub.
We’ve planned for 6 people to a table. You can come alone and join a team, or bring a team of 6.
Over the course of the evening there will be five rounds. Each starts with a sample brew of one of our locally brewed beers from the SE area including Southey Brewery and Three Hounds Beer Company.
Rounds will also include a music round, general knowledge as well as some fun facts about beer, Penge and the bowls club – so don’t worry if you don’t have a great knowledge of all things linked to hops and beer.
There will be an event raffle all proceeds from the evening will be shared between the Festival and the Bowls club. We will also be selling the Penge Festival raffle tickets.
